Following the success of inaugural (A-share) D&O liability conference held in March 2021, we are pleased to host another in-person conference on 19 April 2023 (Wednesday) gathering key market players for an interactive event. Attention on D&O liability has been on the rise over the past two years as recent high profile D&O cases in the local market involving Kangmei Pharmaceutical and a number of overseas listed Chinese companies have raised market concerns.
The event will bring together speakers from various insurance companies to cover off issues from both claims and underwriting perspectives, with partner Victor Yang sharing first-hand experience on case studies pertaining to A-share related D&O matters. Topics to be discussed include:
- The judicial practice since the implementation of the new rules on securities misrepresentation in 2022, the potential impact of the registration-based IPO system and the second draft of the company law on D&Os’ liability, observations on claims trends – Victor Yang, Westlink Partnership
- D&O liability insurance policy terms under Chinese law – Lok Sham, Ping An
- The impact of regulatory rules / regulations and administrative punishment measures on D&Os – Zhou Xu, CPIC
- Allocation between jointly and severally liable parties and subrogation – Yongpeng Wei, PICC
